Writing a Photo Critique

1. In this photo I think that this is a well thought out photo that isn't just a snapshot. It not only symbolizes a rainbow, it symbolizes a broader topic, a happy place. Im not really sure what the water represents maybe calming waters? When I look at this photo I feel like im in a place where I can just relax. When I think about the emotional aspect of this photo, happiness comes to mind. The exposure is okay and there is no motion blurs or any other blurs that aren't meant to be there. The sky is kind of blurry, but it is part of the photo because it may just have been foggy the day it was taken or it may just be because of the water below. The colors are accurately represented in the rainbow and all the other parts of the photo. There isn't really any other lighting that the photographer could have used because its part of the mood the photo is creating and how the weather was outside when the photo was taken.
The backround and foreground really stand out and there is a good balance between them. I like the blue colors in this photo because they contrast well with the rest of the colors such as the color of the sand and the rocks. It makes them stand out more. One specific improvement may be that the photo could be turned to black and white because it could completely change the mood of the photo. Overall, this photo to me is really meaningful and a well thought out photo. Also, rainbows don't happen all the time, so its kind of nice that it was thought out and not just a random snapshot and what makes it even better is that it does have symbolism.
